Disney+: A Taste of More

An immersive three-course dining experience that launched Star on Disney+ to lifestyle media and influencers, with each course in its own film-set box.

A Taste of More

How do you launch a streaming brand to people who've seen it all? Disney+ was launching Star, its new home for grown-up drama and film, and wanted to reach premium lifestyle journalists and influencers beyond Disney's usual TV and entertainment press. The goal: quality social and media coverage on launch day.

Client: Disney+
My role: Creative lead, art direction and design

A night in. New streaming TV. Premium food delivery. We took that familiar ritual and dialled it right up. Inspired by 'culturescaping', we created an immersive three-course menu that transported media and influencers straight into their favourite Star shows.

We teamed up with MasterChef: The Professionals winner Alex Webb on a gourmet tasting menu: a seafood 'forbidden fruits' starter for Desperate Housewives, a salvaged 'wild boar' main for Lost and a delicate Mendl's patisserie for The Grand Budapest Hotel.

A Hollywood prop maker then built each course its own delivery box, crafted to look like it came straight off a film set.

Each course was unboxed to thousands of followers, and audiences shared their delight at the detail and their love of the shows. Instead of a standard launch kit, Star arrived with a little movie magic.

This project was a labour of love for me. I was the creative lead from start to finish, selling in the concept to Disney and carefully crafting the entire experience by working closely with Alex and the prop maker to bring the idea to life.
